About
David has been a professional photographer since 2004. Working mainly in the fields of Architectural, Portrait and Documentary photography and on widely differing projects, from press and PR jobs to long-term documentary projects.
From 2004 until 2009, David was a board member of ‘Redeye- The Photography Network’, working as Director, Treasurer and Vice-Chair.
In 2007 David along with Sue Fuller and Sarah-Jane Eyre established ‘Kiosk’, a photography gallery in the foyer of a major Manchester cinema complex to bring photography to those who would not normally view the medium in a gallery environment.
In late 2009 along with two colleagues he founded ‘BlackLab’, an organisation set up to create situations in which still images can interact with film, music and text. These events involve projection and sound and attempt to revivify the presentation of still images.
David has had work exhibited at Cornerhouse, Manchester, Ashton Art Gallery, Tameside and Manchester Central Library.
